I had the same feeling as the one you get when stuck in front of a painting, with almost no breath, when I watched the Dior fashion show a few days ago. Sometimes fashion manages to get to that level of perfection that is beyond words. The Dior show took place in a white pavilion, located in the gardens of Musée Rodin. Raf Simons presented a very wearable collection, using lot of white and pale colors but also bright red or navy-blue. The clean cuts, the use of volume, the mix between modern and classic in design and in textures, the feeling of naturalness and easiness in spite of the elegance and preciousness of the pieces, make this last collection a step in finding a new balance between the wearable and the grandeur of the couture. Maybe that’s the future of couture, and we love it, as long as we have Dior.
